Your Own Room, Not a Dorm Bed

Every Surf Camp Canggu package includes a private single room with air conditioning and an en-suite hot-water bathroom. There's a queen bed, a small work desk by the window for laptop afternoons, and enough wall space in the corner to lean your board against overnight. Housekeeping comes through daily so your room stays tidy without you having to think about it.

The camp itself sits on a quiet side street off Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong -- close enough to walk to the beach for a dawn session, far enough from the main road to actually sleep well. Canggu's cafes and coworking spaces around Berawa and Echo Beach are a short walk or scooter ride away for your downtime between sessions.

Common Areas Built for Camp Life

Breakfast happens every morning in our open-air bamboo pavilion -- fresh fruit, toast and eggs with the rest of the camp before the first session. Between sessions, the lounge area has hammocks and shaded seating, there's a small pool to cool off in, and a board rack with a freshwater rinse station right by the rooms so your gear is dry and ready for the next surf.

If you're working remotely during your stay, the lounge wifi is fast enough for video calls, and many of our 7 and 14-day campers settle into a rhythm of morning session, work block, afternoon session, dinner with the group -- the camp is set up to support that routine, not just a quick lesson stop.

What Campers Say About the Rooms

“Having my own AC room after a hot afternoon session made such a difference -- I've stayed in shared surf hostels before and this was a different level of comfortable. Breakfast in the pavilion every morning was the best part of waking up.”

“Worked remotely for my whole 7 days there -- wifi in the lounge was solid enough for every call, and the pool was perfect for a break between sessions. Felt like a proper home base, not just somewhere to sleep.”

Accommodation FAQ

Are the rooms private or shared dorms?

Every package includes a private single room with your own AC and en-suite bathroom -- we don't run shared dorms. If you're travelling with a partner or friend, let us know and we can usually arrange rooms next to each other.

Is the wifi good enough to work remotely?

Yes -- most of our 7 and 14-day campers are remote workers who join video calls from the common lounge or their room between surf sessions. If you have a specific bandwidth need (large file uploads, for example), mention it on WhatsApp and we'll confirm what to expect.

How far is the camp from the beach and from cafes?

The camp sits on Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong, a short walk from Batu Bolong beach itself, and an easy walk or quick scooter ride from Canggu's cluster of cafes and coworking spaces around Berawa and Echo Beach.

Can I extend my stay beyond my package?

Yes, subject to room availability -- extra nights are available from around Rp 650,000/night. Ask your instructor during the camp or message us on WhatsApp in advance if you already know you'll want extra time.

Is there air conditioning, or just fans?

Every private room has its own wall-mounted AC unit, not just a ceiling fan -- useful after a hot midday session or for sleeping comfortably through Bali's warm nights.
